ABOUT US - Our Staff

Sally Shields - Nursery Manager

My name is Sally and I have worked with children for as long as I can remember!

I am a qualified and experienced Nursery Nurse (NVQ level 3) and studying for level 4. I have also gained the following qualifications; First Aid, Advanced Food hygeine, child protection and behaviour management training. I frequently attend courses to ensure my skillset is up to date.

For me, being a Nursery Nurse is a very rewarding job. I get a very satisfying feeling at the end of each day, knowing that the children who attend Little Nightingales are in great care and we work hard to ensure each child receives the warmth and attention needed to become a loving and confident individual.

I really enjoy my job and I think the reason why is because no two days are the same in our nursery.

Charlotte Batson - Nursery Deputy Manager

I’m Charlotte. I have worked with children for 5 ½ years and I chose this career because it is challenging, fun and every day is different. I have a level 3 in childcare and education. I have also trained in first aid, food hygiene, safe guarding children and the new EYFS program.
A few of my hobbies include driving, fitness and music.

Lucie Slough - Senior Nursery Nurse

Hi my name is Lucie. I have a CACHE level 3 Diploma in childcare and education which I gained 4 years ago, since then I have gained experience in many different settings including being a nanny for 5 young children aged between new born and 10 years old and a teaching assistant for pre-schoolers. I have recently attended EYFS courses and I am currently updating my First aid training. I have always felt great satisfaction working with children and I hope to continue it for many years to come.
