ABOUT US - Our Staff
Cassandra Cameron-Wilton - Nursery Manager
Hi there! I have been working with children since I was 15 years old and I am still enjoying every minute of it!
I have a NNEB Diploma and have qualified in the following training courses Birth to Three Matters, Foundation Stage, First Aid, Effective Communication, Behaviour Management, Management Training and Child Protection which I delivered as an internal training manager.
Before joining Little Nightingales I was Hertfordshire’s Area Manager for ‘Schoolfriendetc’ and prior to that I was a Senior Nursery Nurse in a Day Nursery setting for 4 years.
For me, working with children is the most rewarding and satisfying job in the world.
Who else can say that they come to work and take part in fruit printing, messy spaghetti play and then dress up as a fairy? And that’s all before lunch!
Being a Nursery Manager is not just a job to me, it’s my life, and I value and respect every child and parent/carer who is part of our Little Nightingales family.
Beverley Dyer -
Deputy Manager
I've been working in childcare in one capacity or another, since I was 15 (12yrs - eek - does that make me old?)
I have an NNEB Diploma & HNC in Early Childhood Studies I have attended courses in language development, child protection and first aid amongst other things.
I have had much involvement in training others, working as an internal assessor and also as a training facilitator for an external training company. It is incredibly important to me that the children in my care not only have lots of fun learning experiences but that they, and their families, feel secure and valued within the nursery environment.
I look forward to being a part of Little Nightingales and all we will have to offer, not to mention being covered in paint. Play dough and glue everyday!
Lynda Messer - Nursery Assistant
I decided to work in child care as I come from a big family and have two younger siblings and have always seen myself a strong role model to them.
Before I came to Little Nightingales I worked for a well established company called ‘Tumble Tots’ as a team leader, I was responsible for small groups of children and encouraging their growth and development in a fun and stimulating environment.
I plan to go back into further education later this year to gain a NVQ level 2 in childcare which I am really looking forward to.
Sally Shields - Nursery Nurse
My name is Sally and I have worked with children for as long as I can remember!
I am a qualified and experienced Nursery Nurse (NVQ level 3).
I have also gained the following qualifications; First Aid, Advanced Food safety and I will soon be participating in ‘Birth to three’, child protection and behaviour management training courses to keep myself updated.
For me, being a Nursery Nurse is a very rewarding job. I get a very satisfying feeling at the end of each day, knowing that the children who attend Little Nightingales are in great care and we work hard to ensure each child receives the warmth and attention needed to become a loving and confident individual.
.
I really enjoy my job and I think the reason why is because, no two days are the same in our nursery.
